i am ashamed to admit something. i almost forgot to thank all the wonderful people today that serve this great country. to all of those who are serving or have served this country, i thank you for your supreme sacrifice and service to the United States. i hoped you had a good Veteran's Day and your service will never be forgotten by me. Thank you!

Personally, it always makes me a little uncomfortable when someone tells me "Thank you for your service." Partly, that's because I didn't join the military with any expectation of gratitude. Rather, I joined because I felt I could make a difference, and because I simply wanted to. Also, the cynic in me wonders, "How grateful are you REALLY?"
You seem to like thought-provoking questions, so here's one for you and your readers: Does this gratitude toward servicemembers manifest in real social and sexual (this is a sex blog, after all) status? Is it a turn-on if a guy served in Iraq or Afghanistan? Or is this really just a collective sigh of relief that there's someone else out there to do your dirty work for you?
I realize it probably sounds like I have a chip on my shoulder, but I'm genuinely curious. Firing back with these questions in RL might be...misinterpreted, so I figure a semi-anonymous blog is a more appropriate forum.
Btw, new reader here, and I'm digging your raw sexuality. I apologize for the long first post; I promise my next will be be briefer and more consistent with the subject matter...
hmmm....i don't think it's always appropriate to respond to comments unless pasted onto the actual blog but since you asked for a response. if you actually talked to people especially those who are older "40 and up" you will find that many are genuinely grateful for what service men do. i have engaged in general conversation with people about war and vets and have found many to be so emotionally moved they will begin to cry.
as for the soldier turn-on i reserve comment because i'm a guy. but some female soldiers and cops are sexy as shit....it's the whole tom girl thing.
